Am I ready to be a parent?

Although being a mother was not exactly what you had in mind right now, it may be the right choice. If you are considering parenting, you probably have a lot of questions. It’s natural to feel some uncertainty as you try to imagine your life in a new way.

How To Know If Parenting Is Right For You

Parenting, like your other two choices of abortion or adoption, is difficult, but it’s also one of the most rewarding choices you can make. You need to know someone’s going to help you take on the responsibility.

You may have more questions than answers about parenting at this time. That’s normal, and we want to help. Clients who have considered parenting ask things like:

  • What if my partner or parent (s) doesn’t want the baby, but I do?
  • How do I tell my family? Will they give me their support?
  • How will I finish school?
  • Can I continue working?
  • Where will I live?
  • Can I afford a child?
  • Am I too young or immature to parent?
  • How will I financially support a child?
  • Do I have a strong emotional support system?

These are big questions to ask, and because you’re thinking about them, you probably have a lot more maturity than you realize.

Here’s How We’ll Help You

We offer parenting classes, prenatal through 18 months old, as well as fatherhood classes. These classes are offered one-on-one with you and one of our wonderful client advocates, to help provide you with the help and information you need.

For each class you complete, you will receive Baby Bucks! You can save those Baby Bucks and shop in our Baby Boutique for clothes, car seats, diapers, cribs, or anything else you may need for your baby.
